7 Things You Can (And Should!) Clean With a Toothbrush

1 Hair Dryer Vents
If your hair dryer doesn't seem as powerful as it used to be, you might have lint caught in the vent, which makes the motor's job harder and your machines less impactful.

2  Velcro
While the super small hooks on this material are what makes it so nifty, they're also the reason hair and lint so often get stuck to it. But you can brush out the stuff you don't want with the strong bristles in a toothbrush.

3  Stovetops
Sometimes rags and sponges just don't get the job done when it comes to heavy-duty stains. Move a toothbrush in small circular motions (with your go-to stove cleaner on top) to rub the stains right off of your stovetop.

4 Tile Grout
Make sure you don't accidentally breeze over gunk with the help of a small, divot-friendly brush. Mix 3/4 cup of household chlorine bleach with 1 gallon water, let the combination sit on the grout for several minutes, then scrub away.

5 Car Seat Cushions
Don't you just hate the look of crumbs stuck between the cushions in your car? We do. All you have to do is run the rough bristles of a toothbrush along the crevice to dislodge 'em — then vacuum up the debris when you're done.

6 Faucets
Don't forget about the "touch points" in your home. Use a toothbrush to scour hard-to-reach spots with soap and water before mildew and bacteria starts to grow.

7  Drains
Yes, you really do need to clean your sink. To do so, mix 1/2 cup baking soda with 1/4 cup table salt, then pour the mixture down the drain, followed by 1 cup heated vinegar. Afterwards, you can scrub any additional gunk away with your trusty brush.
